Meet the Pioneers!

It’s hard for us to believe it, but it’s true: the Class of 2021 is only a few weeks away from graduating! We call The Class of ‘21 our “Pioneer Class” because they were with us on our very first day of school ever and because they have witnessed every stage of Stone’s development alongside us. Over the next three weeks, we will be spotlighting students from the Class of ‘21 — from the “original” Pioneers who were with us on our very first day right through to the Pioneers who joined us this August!

Where are you headed next Fall? I’ll be attending USC Viterbi, which is the University of Southern California’s Aerospace Engineering program.

What are you most excited to learn next year? I'm really excited about 'experiencing' next year — moving somewhere I've never been before, getting that opportunity to experience life in a 'new' way. I'm also really looking forward to my courses at school — I love mathematics and building and problem-solving, and I'm very excited to be able to go much deeper into those processes.

What’s a project you feel particularly proud of from your time here at Stone? I was part of a team of students who founded WhattaDay Smoothie Company — the “on-demand” organic smoothie company we pitched in Entrepreneurship II. It was time intensive work, but it taught me a lot about what it means to run a small business.

What accomplishment are you most proud of from your time here at Stone? I was recently named a USC Presidential Scholar through the National Merit Scholarship program — it was a reminder of what I am able to accomplish when I apply myself.

Finally, what’s one piece of advice you have for new students coming to Stone? Get involved in everything, run for leadership positions, join clubs, make clubs, run events, build companies, and really become part of Stone’s culture. You'll learn the most, and you'll have the best experiences.
