Capital Giving

Capital gifts specifically support long-term, high-impact investments which drive program, experience, and academic excellence at Stone.

These gifts can vary in size and strategy — supporting needed building and renovation projects, to launching strategically aligned new endowment funds, to new property — and these gifts have dramatic impacts on the long term horizon of the school.

Capital gifts may be one-time gifts or multi-year gifts (often paid over 3–5 years). We do, of course, welcome Capital gifts of all sizes while also offering naming opportunities for larger Capital gifts, including:

  • Classrooms (typically gifts of $50,000);

  • Learning spaces and meeting spaces ($100,000);

  • Establishing new endowment funds;

  • And named Teaching Chairs, like the Susan J. Gottlieb Chair of the Humanities given by the Richardson Family (currently held by Brian Lehman). Recipients will be known as the holder of the named chair in all Stone communications and will receive a chair and an annual stipend for professional development.
