The Stone Independent School prohibits hazing in any form. No student, employee, volunteer, team, club, organization, or other person associated with the School may knowingly, intentionally, or recklessly engage in, promote, facilitate, or permit hazing in connection with membership or participation in any School activity or organization. A person’s consent to the activity does not excuse or justify hazing.

Suspected violations should be reported promptly to the Head of School or another administrator. The School will investigate all credible reports and may impose consequences including suspension or expulsion, employee discipline or termination, loss of recognition or privileges for a team or organization, and referral to law enforcement. Retaliation against anyone who makes a good-faith report or participates in an investigation is prohibited.

This policy is adopted pursuant to the Timothy J. Piazza Antihazing Law, 18 Pa.C.S. Chapter 28.

The Stone Independent School does not and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, ancestry, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations. Those activities include, but are not limited to, the hiring and firing of employees, the selection of volunteers and vendors, and the admission, education, and matriculation of students.
